These days there are many gunsmiths offering "restoration" services of one sort or

another, with widely varying results.  As far as I am concerned, the word 'restoration'

has but one definition - to return the gun in question to the condition it was in when it

left the factory.  This can only be done using the methods that were in use at the time

the gun was manufactured.  If the finished article is not indistinguishable from a mint

original example then it is not a restoration, it is simply refinished.

Finding a competent gunsmith to whom you can trust your prized possessions can be

difficult.  Please be assured that every firearm entrusted to me for repair or restoration

is treated with the utmost care.  With over 20 years of experience, I operate a

one-man shop where everything is done in-house.  The only way to ensure that the

quality of the finished product meets my standards is to be personally responsible for

every operation.

Because every restoration is unique, I prefer not to list prices for specific services.

Please keep in mind, I work up to a standard not down to a price.  Feel free to contact

me regarding your particular wants or needs.
